this is something I did for a Creative Writing Class last year
Motorcycle Brandy
Once upon a time, deep into an unknown desert, laid a great city. It was the kingdom of King
Harley of Davidson and his lovely Queen Monique of Corona. The people of Davidson greatly
loved their King and Queen, for they were both wise, fair, and dressed pretty hot too. They also
had the help of the three mechanics Marv, Harv, and Jake. Mechanics were considered a very
wise and knowledgeable people, and were often used as advisors.
They were for the most part a happy, content people. But in the 9th year of King Harleys
reign, the city was engulfed in darkness. Provided by one Ed Johnson, a lawyer. He was as evil
and heartless as they come, and feared by many. It was during the celebration of the birth of
Princess Brandy. The subjects were so overcome with joy at the birth of their Princess that they
didn't even see him coming. He walked right into the square and announced that the great city of
Davidson was under siege by the monster King Bud, of the superior city of Weiser. And that they
were to give over control immediately. Though being a small kingdom, Davidson was the
location of the best junkyards in the desert. The king and queen begged and pleaded, the crowd
and bikes roared, but the evil lawyer was not to be detoured. Finally he declared, "If the heir of
Davidson can win the heart of a Prince from a superior city, pass three tests, and then claim the
throne of Davidson before her 17th birthday, I will destroy all the compromising legal papers
and be on my way. Until then." He picked up his briefcase, put on his hat and retreated to his
little cabin five miles east of the city. The crowd calmed down a bit. The queen was the most
beautiful in the land, and there was no doubt that the Princess would be anything less. No one
would be able to resist her. But the king and queen were still worried. They called the three
mechanics, Marv, Harv, and Jake, to their private pub and discussed what the lawyer had said.
"It seems too easy," Marv said.
"Sounds like some sort of trickery," agreed Harv.
"That slimeball," muttered Jake.
After long hours of talking they all agreed that there could be some danger to all this. Knowing
that the lawyer would do anything possible to destroy their lives and get his paycheck.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" ask the queen.
"Well," said Marv, "She can't stay here, thats fer sure."
"You should send her to live secretly in a friendly city," suggested Harv.
"I know a barmaid in Busch," piped up Jake. They all stared at him. "Sorry bad suggestion."
"Then how will she find a lord to marry?" asked the queen, "If she lives in secret she cannot date a lord."
The three mechanics had no answer.
"Well I guess we'll let fate take it's course," said Marv.
"Our cousins are mechanics for King Henry of Ford," said Harv. "I hear he's got a son."
"Send her there," Jake suggested, "she'll learn a trade, get to know the lad, and stay safe."
It was settled. The three mechanics cousins, Mara, Lara, and Jane, came by the next day to take
the princess to Ford. The king and queen were saddened to see their only child go. But for the her
safety, and the future of their city, they bore that burden.
16 years and 11 months later
The three lady mechanics did a good job raising Brandy. She learned how to fix cars, bikes, and anything with wheels. She was the best mechanic in the land, and the most beautiful girl
anyone had ever laid eyes on. With long, chocolate brown hair, eyes that were black as coal, and
smooth olive skin. Yes, she was beautiful.
Everyone in the land, especially the young men, loved to come and watch her work. She did it
with such joy, and happiness that it captured everyone’s hearts. She even captured the heart of
her best friend, young Prince Alexander. The young prince and Brandy had been playmates ever
since her arrival to Ford. They did everything together. They fixed stuff together, got tattoos together, beat up bullies together, they even celebrated their birthdays together. They were
friends till the end.
On their 16th birthday, the Prince and Brandy shared their first kiss. Sparks flew, it was like a
firework show. After those few, wonderful moments, she was filled with dread. For the prince
was royalty, and only royalty could date him. She tried avoiding him, but he would not leave. She
tried insulting him, but he saw right through. After a few more attempts, she saw that he would
not give up. She finally gave into her heart.
It has been 11 months since that day and the couple was still going strong. They attempted to
keep it a secret but the news soon reached the king who just sat back and smiled. Everything was
turning out as planned. Besides the three lady mechanics, the king was the only one in Ford who
knew her true identity. Many men from Weiser had passed through many times. Asking questions about the location of princess Brandy. The king let out a sigh. The 17 years were
coming to an end and the tension was building. All he could do was watch, and wait.
Back to the present, Brandy and the Prince were fixing up his old truck when the princes dog
Taurus, showed up with a message. The king had summoned them to the Royal McGrub station.
The couple grabbed their leather jackets, hopped into the princes truck and took off. When they
got there they were surprised to find not only the king, but the three lady mechanics as well.
"Alexander, Brandy," the king greeted, "sit down."
The couple looked at each other then sat down across from the king and the three lady
mechanics.
"We know you two are dating."
Brandy and the Prince looked shocked.
"Don't look so surprised," laughed the king, "You two have been insepretable since the day you
met." The king ordered a drink and continued, "but there’s something you should two should
know..." The king looked at the three lady mechanics. Brandy and the Prince looked at the three
lady mechanics.
Mara spoke first, "What we have to tell you my dear is something very big."
"Something that will change your life forever," Lara put in.
"Totally," agreed Jane.
Brandy leaned forward, "Spill."
In total unison the three lady mechanics gave the news, "You are Princess Brandy of Davidson, heir to the throne of Davidson." There was complete silence, that was followed by a joyous outburst.
"Shut up!" Brandy shouted with joy. She hugged Alexander, then got up and hugged Mara, then Lara, then Jane. And last but not least, she gave the king a kiss on the cheek, who turned purple shortly afterwards. Then the three lady mechanics, in turn, went on to tell her about the siege of
Davidson and the evil lawyer. Mara finished up the story, "...finally he made deal with the king
and queen." She stopped and they all looked at Brandy. Brandy leaned forward,
"Okay, what’s the catch."
"That you must marry and claim the throne of Davidson before your 17th birthday."
Brandy and Alexander looked at each other and smiled. "Piece of cake."
Prince Alexander and Princess Brandy were married that very day. King Henry of Ford
gave his blessing, and the three lady mechanics gave a gift. A brand new motorcycle, that they
named after her father, king Harley of Davidson. The Prince and Princess kissed, waved
goodbye, and rode off into the sunset towards Davidson.
When they were about 5 miles out they were stopped by a very dorky looking man in a suit.
"You cannot go any further until you pass these three tests."
They got off their bikes and stood before him.
"Who are you?" asked Brandy.
"I'm the lawyer, standing in your way." He smiled and continued, "Before you go off to claim
your throne, you must first pass these three tests. Memory, mechanics, and..." he paused for
effect, "the staring game." Oh no, not the staring game! Brandy stepped forward and the tests
began. She started the memory test... done.
The mechanics... done. And now the greatest test of all, the staring game. Brandy and the lawyer
faced off. Ready. Set. GO! Oh, the tension. One minute passed. Two minutes passed! Three
minutes! Oh, how can they do it! Finally Brandy pulled off the lawyers glasses and kissed him.
The lawyer was so baffled that he dropped dead. The prince looked at him, then at Brandy and
said, "Oh, baby your good." They kissed and continued on their way.
When they entered the city there was great rejoicing. Everyone revved their engines, big and
small. "Hurray for Princess Brandy. She has defeated the evil Lawyer." They went to the square
where they were greeted by King Harley and Queen Monique. Mother and daughter hugged, father and son-in-law shook hands. Then the king and queen passed on their crowns to the future.
"Hurray for Queen Brandy and King Alexander!"
