O travelers! Travelers!
Have you not heard?
The news that is spreading
By beast and by bird.
That things of anger,
Things of hate,
Are ready in battlements.
Lying in wait
For a battle is coming
From far and from near.
A new hope is springing
From darkness and fear.
A sword that was broken,
A ring that was lost.
Two different tokens,
Of hope, and of loss.
The ring has been found,
The sword forged anew!
Travelers be wary,
For dark things do brew.
